Our Current Research Studies
- The Successful Transition after Aliyah Relocation Project (The STAR Project) is a study of 140 families who immigrated to Israel from North America between the past three and ten years. This study is being conducted in collaboration with Nefesh BNefesh. This quantitative study assessed pre- and post-immigration variables that contribute to immigration success. Results will be used to provide a clear, data-driven picture of how families adapt to Aliyah over-time.
- Evaluation of a School Based Intervention Promoting Bicultural Identity Integration. The goal of this study is to demonstrate the effectiveness of a school-based intervention on Bicultural Identity Integration (BII) among elementary school student US immigrants to Israel as well as to assess the impact of increased BII on immigrant psychological well-being.
- Challenges and Psychological Adjustment of Religious American Adolescent Immigrants to Israel. This complete qualitative study investigated the immigration process and adjustment of recent religious US immigrant teens to Israel. Click here for the research article describing the study and results.
